I'm from Taiwan and I love noodles. Noodles is my comfort food. 10 years ago, when I first moved to London for school, there was one day when I was really sad and all I wanted was a bowl of noodles to make me happy.

I scoured every corner of Chinatown and couldn’t find anything. I decided to solve my own sadness by learning how to cook, and I fell in love with cooking ever since. Cooking and noodles are my two favourite things in the world, and I want to share them with you.

This noodle kit is an immersive cooking experience designed to teach you about my favourite Asian dishes.

WHY DID I START PIGTORIA'S NOODS?
Whenever I visited Taiwan, I always returned to London with suitcases stuffed with noodles instead of clothes — that’s how serious my noodle hunger was. Eventually, I realised I wasn’t alone in that craving so I decided to build my own noodle brand — one that shares the noodles I love with anyone who’s ever longed for a bowl of comfort, no matter where they are in the world.

In 2024, I started running my noodle lab, an interactive noodle dining experience. Through these events, I learned about people's flavour profiles and cooking habits to start designing a product that aims to fit everyone's needs.

After launching an initial prototype and making numerous visits to noodle factories in Taiwan, I finally created the perfect noodle kit that makes cooking fun and easy.

UMAMI NOODS

This dish is inspired by Scallion Oil Noodles 葱油拌面, a household dish where every grandma has their own twist. My version is an umami mix of fragrant scallion oil and delicious Taiwanese cupboard sauces.

This flavour is inspired by Ma Jiang Mian 麻酱面, a sesame-based noodle dish. The nuttiness comes from the taste of sesame seeds in each bite. This dish is my comfort food, I used to eat it every day after school.
